Leather and Suede

What to do in a stain emergency:

A spill on leather or suede requires a different response than a spill on cotton or wool. While it's best to blot most stains - and never rub - you have a few other options as well:

If your leather is shiny and repels liquid - use a damp sponge to gently wipe it off

If you leather is butter soft and seems to absorb everything - do not attempt stain removal. It will most likely require professional care as soon as possible.

Suede is a bit trickier. Some smudges can be improved with a clean eraser (but always test a hidden area first.) Oily stains from things like buttered popcorn, gravy or lotion will need attention from the technicians at Anderson Cleaners.
